Brid Rangers Tigers rounded their home campaign off in fine style with a comfortable 4-1 win against AFC Phoenix Juniors
The first half was a fairly scrappy affair with both sides failing to take control of the game. It wasn’t until the midway point of the first half that Tigers got the breakthrough, a fine strike by Will Gibbs was saved but Charlie McCloud smashed home the rebound.
Tigers made it two within a minute of the restart, McCloud playing a fine ball through to Dudley Dean who committed the keeper and slotted home. Almost straight from the kick off Phoenix reduced the deficit with a great strike from distance.
It wasn’t long before they got their third, man of the match Ewan Thomas playing the ball in to the box where McCloud made no mistake from 10 yards.
The game was put to bed five minutes from time, a great tackle by Danny Stephenson fed Evan Jemison who linked with Jemison who then found Kieran Padden at the back post to finish off a superb team goal.
