The weekend’s star performers have made it into our latest Free Press Team of the Week.
In goal is Forester Athletic’s keeper Mitchell Wedge, who denied Bridlington Rovers for 85 minutes in the Driffield League.
Rovers’ own Karl Thornton gets in at right back and is joined in defence by two Sports Club players - Dan Bemrose from the Humber Premier League and Ross Parker from the County League side.
Bridlington Town Reserves’ Louis Gregory was man of the match in the derby at Dukes Park and he lines up in midfield, alongside Lewis Bean from Coachman, Arthur Bejer of Mermaid United and Stirling’s Connor Ashby, the first player to get into the side on two occasions.
Up front, Bridlington Town’s match winner Joel Sutton is tasked with providing the goals for Snooker Centre’s Reece Swift, who netted twice at the weekend, and Jason Ridley, who was one of three Flamborough 2nds players to hit a hat-trick.
