They were three divisions apart last season, but Bridlington Town Reserves and Hull United will meet in the opening game of the Humber Premier League Division One season.
The Seasiders’ second string won East Riding County League Division One and took promotion, while Hull United suffered all sorts of problems in NCEL Division One.
They are starting again at a lower level and Town will travel to Endeavour Playing Field for their opening game of the season on Saturday, August 20.
That is followed by a home match against fellow newcomers LIV Supplies the following Saturday.
Town will play a friendly against another Humber Premier Division one side Walkington at Queensgate next Tuesday.
Other teams in their division are AFC Northfield, Brandesburton, Driffield EI, Hall Road Rangers Reserves, Hessle Sporting United, Hornsea Town, Howden and Westella & Willerby.
Meanwhile, Bridlington Sports Club’s first team have withdrawn from the Humber Premier League’s top flight. Officials confirmed the Dukes Park side have dropped out because of a lack of players. Sports Club finished 12th last season. they will continue to run a team in East Riding County League.
