Young footballers who played starring roles at the weekend have made our Junior Team of the Week for Bridlington teams.

Goalkeeper Alfie Campleman made save after save for Bridlington Town under 10s at Springhead and he has been given the gloves.

His team-mate Harvey Asquith helped him to keep the Hull side out for almost an hour, and joining him in defenceis Brooke Stephenson, who was player of the match for Flamborough Tigers girls at Malet Lambert.

Leah Freeman is the second girl in the starting 11 and Jamie Langton from Jackdaws’ U10s completes the back four.

Three of Bridlington Rangers Eagles U10s’ top performers line up in midfield - with Oliver Booth, Zak Cook and Jack Hall all receiving nominations.

Dylan Hopkins proved he is just as capable in goal and as an outfield player, and his goal for Flamborough Vikings U11s wins him a place, alongside Jackdaws under 8s duo Sam Davis and Lewis Shields.
