For the first time in the club’s history, all 11 of Burlington Jackdaws players were on the scoresheet in the same game.
The remarkable achievement came as the Hull Boys Sunday League U13 Wyke Division champions enjoyed a 17-0 win at Withernsea.
With five minutes to go, the team realised keeper Luke Hall was the only one who hadn’t scored. He was sent up front and netted with virtually the last kick of the game.
His strike followed four from Jay Smith, doubles for Frankie Gascoigne, man of the match Tommy Campleman and Bradley O’Connell, and one each for Jed Oyston, Ben Leeson, Bailey Chapman, Cameron Smith, Luis Stead and Lewis Williamson.
Manager Chris Kirkham said: “Well done to Withernsea, who were sporting and made it fun, even though the scoreline was against them.”
