The thoughts of Bridlington Town manager Gary Allanson after the 4-0 home defeat to leaders Tadcaster Albion
Tadcaster are a very strong side, definitely set up for promotion to the Evo-Stik.
We are just struggling to get a team together, we are putting square pegs in round holes. The players are absolutely trying their best but they are shattered and we are starting to pick up serious injuries and suspensions now and it is becoming unenjoyable for everybody. We tried to play some kind of football and pass the ball but they were quicker, sharper, fitter than us, had two very good strikers who kept running and chasing and put us under pressure at every opportunity.
We are running out of players but we just have to keep battling on. Dean Craig has a serious eye injury after the lad led with his elbow, Wayne Aziz is struggling along with Craig Palmer and Chris Jenkinson and Wayne now has a suspension coming up.
It is getting very difficult now and we are trying to get players in but we only have until Monday to get them signed now.
It’s a massive problem for us, it has become a very, very difficult season and it is really difficult to try and motivate yourself and even try and get 11 players on the pitch.
