Chris Causier, Sam Clarke and Dan Woodley with the Knockout Cup

Sam Clarke, Chris Causier and goalkeeper Dan Woodley, who all began their junior football at Bridlington Rangers Chiefs, ended up with a hat-trick of trophies despite playing against teams a year older then themselves.

The Westella team were unbeaten as they won Division One and then added the Under 18s Knockout Cup, by beating Hessle Rangers 3-1 at Haworth Park. Causier scored a hat-trick in that game but went one better in the Dr Lilley County Cup final, grabbing all four as they won 4-2 against Brooklands Juniors.

Causier joined Westella after Chiefs folded in 2013 and as a youngster, he had trials at Hull City and Leeds United development centres.

On leaving Chiefs, Clarke had a spell at Burlington Jackdaws. In 2014, he won the league and cup double with Skirlaugh in the under 15s age group. He joined Westella at the beginning of this season, having had a period of training at the development centre at Barnsley FC during this 2014/15 season.

Woodley was on trial for a couple of years with Hull City and then eventually ended up at Westella and Willerby and has been part of their squad which has dominated the league competitions for several years.

All three attended Burlington Juniors and Headlands School and have represented either the Hull Boys Representative Team or the East Riding School team.
