And The Seasiders will be happy that they have been paired with Yorkshire Amateur, who play a league below them in NCEL Division One.

Gary Allanson will be pleased to avoid some of the strong Northern League sides they have faced in previous season, when the Vase gets underway with the First Qualifying Round on Saturday, September 10.

Town will also be at home in the second qualifying round two weeks later if they win.

League rivals Garforth Town or Manchester side Daisy Hill, from Northern Counties West League Division One will provide the opposition.

The FA Cup draw was also reasonably favourable, with Bridlington at home again in the Extra Preliminary Round on August 6.

They face NCWL Premier side Silsden, from West Yorkshire, with the winners going to Liversedge or Guisborough Town in the next round.

One of the eye-catching ties in the Preliminary Round on August 20 sees Tadcaster Albion host Scarborough Athletic.
