Bridlington Town’s Chris Jenkinson had an excellent game at the heart of defence against his former club.

He told the Free Press: “I thought the game must have been great to watch with the only downer being Frank’s injury. The result puts all the pressure on the Boro v Brighouse game now with a draw probably being the best result for us.

“Realistically it’s going to be difficult to win the league now as we are relying on other teams doing us a favour, however I’m sure there will be a few more twists and turns before the end. We just have to make sure we take the maximum points from our last seven games then we can do no more.

“As far as Saturday’s game goes, we came away feeling a little disappointed not to have taken all three points looking at the amount of clear cut chances we created in the last half an hour but I’m sure Boro will feel the same. It’s sad to think if one of us does go up we won’t have these fixtures in coming seasons.”
