Bridlington Rangers Tigers Under-14s claimed promotion to Hull Youth League Division Two with a 4-0 win at Anlaby Rangers.
Kicking into a strong wind in the first half Tigers struggled to get their usual passing game going and were reliant on some outstanding defending from Alfie Hutchinson, Will Ross and Corey Jackson.
Conor Benson's long diagonal ball found Charlie McCloud, whose exquisite first touch found Tyler Nasser, and the latter's first time ball into the box found Jack O'Shea, who rounded the keeper to place the ball into the empty net.
Anlaby nearly drew level when the striker's cross-shot looked to be heading over Conor Artley's head, but the Tigers stopper managed to push the ball away to safety.
With half-time looming Tigers got the all-important second goal, Cameron Smith picking out O'Shea who calmly lifted the ball over the keeper and into the corner.
With Tigers now playing with the wind behind their backs the second half belonged to the visitors.
Louis Harper's inswinging corner from the right evaded everyone but Ross who headed just wide at the far post.
Two minutes later, O'Shea's shot from the right was parried by the Anlaby keeper into the path of Smith and the midfielder finished well from close range.
It was the same combination yet again, O'Shea picked out Smith 25 yards out who struck a delightful shot in to the top corner.
Tigers then had further chances through George Jewitt-Knott and Dillan Khan but the Anlaby keeper denied them.
Man of the match was Khan, who worked tirelessly to win the ball back and put Tigers on the front foot time after time.
