Bridlington Town continued their winning start to the pre-season with a 6-1 success at Scarborough RUFC on Saturday against the Scarborough Saturday League Rep team.

Tyson Stubbings handed the home team the lead after only two minutes but this was as good as it got for the Rep team on a sweltering afternoon at Silver Royd.

Within 10 minutes Nathan Modest had levelled for the Seasiders and then a quickfire brace from Shaq Mackenzie had Town 3-1 up by the half-hour mark.

The visitors put the game to bed with two goals from Jake Day within three minutes of the restart after the interval, Chris Adams adding a sixth goal five minutes from time.

Town's next pre-season test is a home game against Scarborough Athletic on Tuesday night in the Dave Holland Memorial Trophy, 7.30pm kick-off, followed by a home game against AFC Mansfield on Saturday, July 21, 3pm kick-off.
