BRETT AGNEW: Delighted with Barton victory

I’m buzzing with the result and the performance that the lads put in against Barton Town.

Our second half display put them under a lot of pressure and they were unable to handle us.

After the first half I felt like we levelled each other out and that we were a little lazy.

In this league when you stick to your game plan you have a good chance of picking up the results.

It makes a change to see different goal scorers across the board and we are creating chances throughout the game.

Chris (Adams) was outstanding for us on Saturday. He stepped up and massively helped with the performance.

Tom (Waudby) added even more quality but our front three are dangerous and are causing problems every game we play.

Teams are struggling to score against us and that is something that we should be pleased about.

Confidence is also high and the lads know exactly what I expect of them so are keen to continue the strong performances.

I feel like we are in the ideal position at the moment and it’s important that we stay grounded and not get carried away.

The squad is still relatively thin and we are actively looking to add a few players in the next week or so.

Having said that though, we have a good squad who are all working towards one goal and players are keen to give it their all.

Next up we have a tough game at Garforth Town. We owe them one after they beat us 5-4 at our spot earlier on in the season and I’m expecting our lads to put in a good performance.

I’m away in Scotland but I have confidence that the team will be able to pick up the points and keep us on track.
