Bridlington 1sts travelled to Driffield 2nds and chose to bowl first after winning the toss in their York Senior League fixture.
Driffield got off to a quick start. Ben Dobson and Tom Norman put on a solid opening partnership before Norman was unluckily run out for 33.
Owen Goldsworthy with 38 and Will Norman (29) help Dobson push the score past 200, before the former Sewerby opener eventually fell for an excellent 135.
After he went, Simon Leeson and Casey Rudd managed to strangle the lower order and Driffield finished on 280/9 from 48 overs. Leeson was the most successful bowler for Bridlington with 4-50.
Brid’s reply got off to a solid start with Rudd and Leeson putting on a half-century opening partnership.
Leeson went for 45, but Steve Janney (30) and Rich Lount, with a well-made 58, had Driffield panicking a bit. However, when these two fell, Brid settled for a losing draw and reached 217/7. Jamie Hopper with 3-59 was the best Driffield bowler.
