Sewerby 1sts visited Beverley for the opening game of the season with a depleted team.
After a delayed start due to rain, they batted first on a damp and green wicket and struggled to come to terms with this.
Lewis Beasley (10) and Ben Dobson (14) managed to get the score to 41/4 before a stand of 37 between Mike Artley (16) and Rob Coates (21) took the score to 78 but when these two were out the innings slowly crawled to 102/9 at the end of 42 overs. #
Best bowling for Beverley came from Mudd 5-28 and Morrell 3-19.
A wicket in each of the first two overs reduced Beverley to 0/2 and although Russ Robinson took two more wickets to put them 41/4, the other bowlers were unable to back him up and Beverley lost only one more wicket before reaching the winning target after 28 overs with Robinson finishing with 3-34.
