Yorkshire's Tom Kohler-Cadmore relishing Roses clash at Scarborough

The game was due to take place in 2020 but the ongoing coronavirus pandemic saw a reshuffle of fixtures and Scarborough miss out on the game.

Kohler-Cadmore said: “I think the Roses match is definitely one that you look for when the fixtures are released and with it being at Scarborough, it’ll add even more to the game.

“It’s always a special few weeks at Scarborough and hopefully we’ll be able to produce another thrilling game, just like we did against Surrey a few years ago.

“There’s always a real buzz around the place when we play there and hopefully it’ll be in front of a full crowd.”

Tickets have been on sale at North Marine Road for the last few weeks and the top order batsmen believes that full crowds returning will give supporters a huge boost.

He added: “Having supporters in grounds makes a huge difference for me personally and it’s always nice to put on a performance for our supporters.

“Hopefully when fans return we’ll be in a good position in the league and we’ll be able to put a smile on our supporters faces.”

Kohler-Cadmore is also looking forward to a bumper 2021 season, as his side go on the hunt for silverware.

“If you look at our squad this year, we’ve got a great set of players and the signings of Dom (Bess) and Dawid (Malan) will help us,” the right-handed batsmen added.

“We’ve definitely got good potential for this season and a good squad so hopefully we’ll be able to challenge for the titles.”

Attacking batsman Kohler-Cadmore has spent the winter abroad playing for the Pune Devils in the Abu Dhabi T10 and Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan T20 and he admits that it’s helped improve his game.

He said: “I think with the different players and conditions; you pick up a different perspective on the game.

“For me, it’s been brilliant to learn from the likes of Darren Sammy, Hashim Amla, Shoaib Malik, Jonty Rhodes and having them talking to me every day helped improve my game and I loved every minute of it.

“Hopefully I’ll be able to bring what I’ve learnt back and use the confidence I’ve gained at the start of the season and then into the white ball game later.”

The former Worcestershire County Cricket Club man has his eyes firmly set on winning trophies to ensure that 2021 is a successful season.

“Obviously winning silverware for Yorkshire and individually it would contributing to wins and putting in good performances.

“If I can win us three/four games in each format, I’m sure it’ll go a long way to helping the club win some titles.”
