BECKETT LEAGUE: Glaisdale and Scalby 2nds maintain 100% starts in Division A

Glaisdale and Scalby 2nds stayed top of the pile in Division A thanks to their third successive victories.

Leaders Glaisdale won by five wickets on the road at Fylingdales.

Dales were all out for just 80 before Glaisdale made it to 84-5 in 27.4 overs.

Scalby 2nds stay joint-top thanks to a comfortable win at Ravenscar.

The visitors made 137-9 batting first, Stew Ward top-scoring with 41 with support from Lee Kerr, who added 28 as Will Warwick took 4-15 and Jish Rewcroft 3-21.

Ravenscar then struggled to 79-9 from 30 overs, Scalby skipper Gareth Edmunds taking 3-12 while Jon Barton and Tom Hendry bagged two wickets each.

Ganton conceded their game at Grosmont.

Ebberston 2nds cruised to a one-sided 115-run win on the road at Malton & Old Malton 3rds in Division B.

The visitors posted 213-6 from their 30 overs before Malton were dismissed for 98 in reply.

Chris Millson’s spell of 5-14 helped Snainton to a comfortable nine-wicket win at Thornton Dale 2nds.

Millson helped ensure Dale were all out for just 57, helped by 2-7 from Anosh George, 30 of Dales’ runs coming from Paul Waring.

Sean Deere’s 41 not out then helped Snainton home.

The efforts of Vernon Smith and Harvey Wood helped Great Habton 2nds to victory against Nawton Grange 2nds.

Smith’s 4-13 and 4-28 from Wood helped dismiss Grange’s 2nd XI for 84 despite George Bentley’s knock of 35.

Guy Harris’ 25 had Habton on their way to victory before Dan Walker (23no) and Will Wright (18no) nudged them over the line to victory.

Flamborough lost by 55 runs at Ganton 2nds in Division C.

The villagers head to Bridlington 3rds for a local derby this Saturday.

Opener Rob Hazledine struck 33 and Joe Lenton as the hosts posted 137-7, Gary Orrell snapping up 4-51.

Greg Miller (28) and Steve Lount (21) were the only Brid batsmen to reach double figures as the visitors collapsed from 45-2 to 66 all out, Callum Norris taking 3-4 and Brett Canham 3-0.

Wykeham 3rds edged to a tense one-wicket win at Scalby 3rds.

Scott Wardman took 3-7 as Scalby slipped to 59 all out, only Tom Hollingsworth making it to double figures with 11.

Wykeham also struggled with the bat as only Toby Wrightson (11) got going in the face of bowling from Theo Slade (5-9) and Stephen Shannon (3-9), but they managed to edge over the line with one wicket left to spare.
