Division Two champions Durham City took their league goals tally to over the 100 mark with a revenge 4-2 victory at home to Ashington last night. City surprisingly lost 1-0 at home to the Colliers in the Craven Cup last week

It took 38 minutes for Durham to break down the Ashington defence, Phil Coxall netting with a 30-yard drive into the top corner. Ashington immediately replied with a Tommy Wright header that looped in over Musgrave, but within a minute Durham were back in front as Ashingtons Ian Scott turned a Coxall shot into his own net.Tommy McAlinden made it 3-1 in the 59th minute with a good shot on the turn. Ashington again came back as Andy Purvis headed in to make it 3-2, but Peter Ould made sure of the points when he netted with a rocket shot in 74 minutes.The Craven Cup semi-final between Esh Winning and Evenwood was off and has been re-scheduled for next Saturday.Alan Pearson returns from suspension for Seaham Red Star who entertain South Shields in Division One tonight. Striker David Taylor should return from injury, but David Callaghan and Gary Pearson are doubtful.
