Seventy-four-year-old Marian Turton was found at about 10pm on Sunday after an extensive search in East Yorkshire.

Police and fire search teams, mountain and lowland rescue teams, the police helicopter, dogs, and scores of volunteers scoured acres of countryside and properties around the hall for a day until Mrs Turton was found.

She is now back with her family.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: "We want to thank everyone who helped and supported our officers who worked in challenging conditions throughout the day.

"Our partners, members of the public who helped and volunteered, local businesses, caterers who provided water and food, and the owners of Burton Agnes Hall amongst others played an invaluable part in helping to find Marian.

"We'd like to extend our thanks to everyone involved who went above and beyond to assist us and offered their help."
