Michael and Debbie Fitzpatrick were unimpressed with the indoor facilities they visited when their children were small, and decided to start their own business offering youngsters an exciting adventure.

Adrenaline is Yorkshire’s biggest trampoline park and has capacity for 700 visitors per day at its Liversedge site, which features 140 inter-connected trampolines, a giant air-bag, basketball courts, party rooms and a cafe.

The development will create 35 jobs in the 40,000-sq.ft former warehouse, which the pair bought with a loan from the Business Enterprise Fund.

The site will be one of the first in the UK to use state-of-the-art Prismatic trampolines, with have interactive features allowing them to be used in games and fitness classes.

“We spent so long researching and planning our dream business. The Prismatic feature is the perfect finishing touch and we wouldn’t have it without BEF’s support,” said Debbie.

“Mainstream lenders were unable to help us due to the lack of track record in this type of business, so we were over the moon when the team at BEF were able to support us with a £30,000 loan,” she added.

Adrenaline also includes the Lost City soft play frame, with cannon blasters and a four-lane slide, and will offer fitness classes for teenagers and adults.

The Fitzpatricks spent over a decade visiting play facilities in the region with their two children to conduct market research, and now have hopes of becoming one of Europe’s largest family entertainment spaces. There will be 80 parking spaces available.

“We aim to provide an environment that is welcoming and pleasant for all parents, guardians or spectators and with this in mind we have designed a relaxing café with a servery at ground floor level and a further servery within our mezzanine on the upper level, where hot and cold meals and snacks as well as drinks can be served,” added Debbie.

“In the first few weeks of opening we have been seeing many more visitors than expected and over the summer holidays we expect to welcome even more.”
