Victims targeted in serious attacks in Bridlington

A car was smashed with a brick and a house had a bottle of flammable liquid thrown at the window.

Now Humberside Police are appealing for witnesses and help in identifying two men suspected of being involved in the incidents on Milner Road, which took place yesterday (Thursday October 24).

At around 9.15pm, it was reported that a brick had been thrown at a parked vehicle on Milner Road in Bridlington, causing significant damage. Two men were seen leaving the scene.

Later that night at around 11pm, a bottle of liquid - thought to be an accelerant - was thrown at the window of a property on Milner Road, although the contents did not ignite. The substance inside the bottle has not been identified by police.

The victim was the same in both incidents and police believe they may have been targeted.

The police are now asking for the public’s help in identifying the two suspects.

The first suspect is described as a white man, around 6 feet 2 inches tall, aged between 20 and 29 years old. He has a slim build, and was wearing wearing a black tracksuit tucked into his socks, black trainers and a dark hooded top.

The second man was described as white, around 5 feet 8 inches tall, aged between 20 and 29 years old, with a medium build. He was wearing dark tracksuit bottoms and a dark hooded top.

Police officers are carrying out house to house enquiries in the area following the incidents.
