Described as an “amazing” and “belting” weekend, more than 4,000 people descended on Sledmere House for what’s widely said to be the largest tribute act festival in the world.
At times, the weather was hot enough to rival anywhere in Spain or France at this year’s Tribfest which featured acts including The Cheatles, Badness, Totally Tina, the Spirit Levellers and Simon Garfunkel.
Also playing were The Beautiful Couch which is the band of festival organiser and Paul Heaton impersonator Ed Faulkner.
He said: “It’s the Knebworth of the north. People come from Europe and all over the UK.”
