The main Bridlington-to-Flamborough reopened earlier today after almost a week of disruption.
The B1255 was closed last Wednesday morning because of a burst water main which flooded the carriageway.
Initially, Yorkshire Water had hoped to have the problem resolved by last Friday afternoon, but workmen discovered more damage which delayed the reopening.
Traffic heading between Bridlington and Flamborough had to make a long diversion via Bempton, although there were reports of drivers taking a short cut through Danes Dyke.
The road reopened at 6am this morning.
