Traffic is being disrupted in Bridlington this afternoon because of a burst water main.
Quay Road is closed. EYMS says its buses from town are diverting via Hilderthorpe Road and Station Rod. Buses into Bridlington are diverting via Queensgate, Flamborough Road and Trinity Road.
Earlier in the day, Yorkshire Water said it would be carrying out essential repair works in Quay Road and properties would be affected with water supplies shut off.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has said: "We are aware of a burst water main on Quay Road, Bridlington. Yorkshire Water are aware and will be attending ASAP.
"It's possible a road closure will be put in place whilst the repair is carried out which could lead to travel disruption in the area."
Yorkshire Water has Tweeted: "Due to severity of the burst, the road will need to be closed and we are waiting for traffic management to be put in place with a diversion. We are really sorry for any inconvenience this may be causing."
