Both of Bridlington’s lifeboats were called into action on Sunday.
The all-weather Antony Patrick Jones launched at 2.15pm after coastguards received a request for help from a small fishing boat which had broken down in the wind farm 19 miles south of the resort.
As the crew made their way to help the two-man crew, reports came in that another fishing vessel which was in the area was towing the stricken craft to Withernsea.
The Withernsea Lifeboat crew took over the operation.
At the same time, the Bridlington inshore lifeboat was needed after reports of a missing child, who had last been seen at the water’s edge.
A 40-minute search along the sSouth beach water line was carried out before the missing child was reported to have been found and the crew was stooddown.
