Carriageway Improvements for C19 Burton Agnes to Gransmoor route

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is set to start carriageway resurfacing and footway resurfacing works along the C19 between the A614, Main Street, Burton Agnes junction and Kelk Lane Junction near Gransmoor.

The roadworks are expected to take five weeks to complete.

The work, costing £650,000, is part of a £12m capital programme of carriageway maintenance works and scheduled to start on Monday, May 24.

It is expected to take five weeks to complete.

The council’s contractor, Britcon (UK) Ltd, will be carrying out the works between 8am and 5pm (Monday-Friday).

Due to the nature of the works, the carriageway will be closed to through traffic for the duration of the works.

A signed diversion route will be via A614, Main Street – A165, Bridlington Bay Road - A165, Bridlington Road – C19, Fisher Lane – C19, Gransmoor Road.

Access will be maintained for residents, business owners and emergency services; however, delays are to be expected through the sites during the working hours.

An East Riding of Yorkshire Council spokesperson said : “The council would like to apologise for any disruption caused by these essential works and ask motorists and residents to bear with us whilst they are completed.”

The council will consult with local businesses and residents affected by the works in advance.
