The Bridlington business owner who was given a parking ticket for loading at his bakery shop for 18 minutes has failed in his appeal.

Nick Higginson was given the £70 fine after a warden spotted him in a loading bay in Chapel Street.
He said: “I was unsuccessful and they have rejected my informal challenge. Although I am disappointed with the outcome I am not surprised at all and I will not be taking this matter further.”

Almost two-thirds of people who voted in a poll on the Free Press website said the ticket was unfair.
