A world renowned violinist will perform at a Bridlington venue to raise money for two good causes – East Riding Community Stroke Team and Yorkshire Cancer Research.
St John’s Burlington Methodist Church will host acclaimed musician Tasmin Little on Wednesday 6 June.
She has performed with the Halle Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, the New York Philharmonic and other major orchestras.
Organiser of the event, David Wilcockson, said: “The concert came from a chance meeting with Tasmin after myself and my wife went to see her at Hull City Hall.
“We then got in touch with her agent and she agreed to come to St John’s to perform.
“This talented violinist managed to fit the date into her busy calendar and will play in Sedbergh the day after.
“We are honoured to host this concert and pleased to be raising funds for these charities.
“This is a great chance to experience an evening of unrivalled technical and expressive skill from this globally acclaimed and highly regarded solo violinist.
“We are very grateful to AB Graphic International; WoldTech; Expanse Hotel, Bridlington;, Allsigns The Signmakers; Rotary Club of Bridlington; Old Bridlingtonian Lodge and East Riding Council for sponsoring the event.”
Tickets are £10 for adults and £5 for children under 16, available from the church, by ringing Mr Wilcockson on 07540705886, or via the website at www.bridlingtonmethodistchurch.co.uk.
