THIS week we had a call from Peter Burrows, 63, of Litchfield in Staffordshire, who wanted our help.
He wants to find out where his great grandparents on his father’s side – James and Mary Jane Shaw – were in this picture of them strolling through gardens in the 1930s in Bridlington.
“We do get up to Yorkshire now and again and would love to visit the place if it still exists,” said Mr Burrows, originally from Pudsey near Leeds.
The picture was taken by Bridlington’s famous “Snaps” photographers and if the date is correct James, a colliery deputy from Wigan would be 59 years old.
