More jobs are to be created in Bridlington when the new branch of a tradesmen and DIY store opens its doors for the first time next month.
Multi-channel trade retailer Screwfix is to officially open its first store in Bridlington on Thursday 11th February on Bessingby Way.
The new branch will create an additional 13 jobs and is part of the company’s ongoing expansion plans.
Screwfix’s new Bridlington Store Manager, David Weare is proud of the contribution the new store has made to employment figures in the region.
He said: “We’ve created 13 brand new vacancies and have employed local people from around the Bridlington area. Our new team includes people of all ages and levels of experience, but the most important requirement is that they have the right attitude and can offer superb customer service. Everyone here is really looking forward to the store opening.”
Tradesmen and DIYers are all invited to attend the Bridlington Screwfix opening on Bessingby Way where they can also demonstrate their professional skills in a free-to-enter screw drilling competition. The fastest time wins a 40in smart TV.
Throughout the store’s launch celebration period from Thursday 11th February and through the weekend until Sunday 14th February, all product ranges will carry a 10% discount among other store specific special offers.
Store manager David added: “My team and I have already been out and about getting to know local businesses and tradesmen and we’ve all been struck by how friendly everyone has been.”
