Welsh rock band Stereophonics thrilled the crowd at Scarborough's Open Air Theatre last night as the theatre's barnstorming summer season continues.
The band, who have notched up six number one albums, were preceded by support acts Atlantic Machine and the very impressive Circa Waves.
Then, on a warm, balmy night, the Welshmen launched into a lengthy set of classic songs including Local Boy in the Photograph, I Wanna Get Lost With You, The Bartender and the Thief, Handbags and Gladrags, Just Looking, Maybe Tomorrow and Have a Nice Day.
A runway off the main stage meant the band could get closer to the audience, with drummer Jamie Morrison having a second drum kit on the end of the runway, used to full effect with a stunning drum solo on Mr and Mrs Smith, the penultimate encore.
And the closing song was the epic, anthemic Dakota, rounding off a great night for Scarborough.
Next up at the largest open air theatre in Europe is Pete Tong's Ibiza Classics tonight, and Il Divo tomorrow.
