Bridlington Spa launched their new brochure for the spring and summer showcasing a host of events, musicals and musical performances.
Business owners in Bridlington were in attendance to find out what delights will be coming to the venue in 2015.
One of the highlights of the year is to be when the Tour de Yorkshire comes to Bridlington on 1 May, which runs on the same weekend as the annual Elvis Weekender and Sun Legends Festival. Now in it’s sixth year, the festival celebrates the life and music of Elvis Presley.
The Prodigy are returning to Bridlington on 5 May following their previous sell-out gig in January 2010. The Electronica band will be giving Bridlington a taste of their new album ‘The Day is My Enemy’ which is due out next week.
General manager of the Spa, Andrew Aldis said: “We have some great events coming; the weirdest being the amalgamation of le Tour de Yorkshire and the Bridlington Elvis Festival. It is going to be a mad, mad day!
“This will be the third year that we will produce our own repertory season which headlines with our Fables and Fairy Tales production; a musical theatre extravaganza on the scale you would expect from a West End or Broadway Show.”
Following the success of last year’s event, the Bridlington Real Ale Festival is back with molre great real ales, craft beers, ciders and perries along with live music and food. The event is coming on the 8 and 9 May and is a chance for residents to taste first rate local and regional beers and ciders.
The Chuckle Brothers are also due to make a return to Bridlington for their Chuckles of Oz show. The pair will be the Wizards in a new version of the show, showing every Sunday in August, joining familiar characters Dorothy, Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion and the Scarecrow.
Bridlington Seafood Festival, Showaddywaddy, Coastal Voices, Jimmy Tarbuck are among many more acts to grace the stage at Bridlington Spa.
