SPRING was most definitely in the air at Bay Primary School when youngsters tucked into a ‘daffodil breakfast’ before lessons.
The school hall was decorated in a spring theme and pupils from the foundation and key stage one years brought daffodils along to brighten up the tables as they tucked into a healthy boiled egg with their fresh orange juice.
Headteacher Mrs Hobbs said that the daffodil breakfast was a first for the school, but one that they would be turning into an annual event for the younger pupils.
“It was our way of celebrating the end of a long winter and the start of the sunshine,” she said.
“It went down very well with the children, parents also came in and helped and it was a lovely breakfast for us all.”
