The Bridlington branch of Yorkshire Building Society is backing End Youth Homelessness Week and appealing for people to make any donations at its Prospect Street office.
End Youth Homelessness is a national movement to end homelessness among 16-25 year-olds in the UK.
According to latest figures, 63 young people in the East Riding received some homelessness support from their local authority in 2016/17.
Julie Johnson, manager of the Bridlington branch, said: “It’s shocking that so many young people have to receive homelessness support. We’re proud to be backing End Youth Homelessness Week.
“Thanks to the support of people in Bridlington we have already raised £1,051 that will go towards providing a home to a homeless young person.”
