Nominations have been flooding in for the Free Press’s Pub of the Year competition - and now it’s time to decide the best.
The Bridlington Free Press is running the competition again following the success of last year’s competition to find the best pub in the town.
The votes, cast by our readers, have been counted and verified and we can confirm a six-name shortlist of the pubs that got the most votes via post, social media and on our website.
In no particular order, the top six pubs were:
- The Stirling Castle in Queen Street
- The Seabirds in Fortyfoot
- The Telegraph in Quay Road
- Beaconsfield Arms in Flamborough Road
- The Friendly Forrester in Marton Gate
- Marine Bar in North Marine Drive
The Free Press would like to thank everyone for voting but now it is down to our judging panel to make an unannounced visit to each pub and decide the best.
The pubs will be judged on the quality and range of ales, the atmosphere and decor, service and clientele mix.
The winning pub will receive a shield to display behind the bar.
