Almost one thousand visitors crowded through the doors of the newly refurbished Sewerby Hall for its official re-opening last Saturday.

The £2.6 million project - funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) and East Riding of Yorkshire Council (ERYC) - has seen the hall’s interior restored back to its former Edwardian splendour.

Hundreds of guests came to look round on Saturday 9 August, and despite the bad weather on Sunday the hall enjoyed a successful weekend after being shut for 30-months.
