Status Quo have performed all over the world since they formed in 1962, but last weekend they had a new experience playing in “the field of dreams”.
Burton Agnes was bouncing over the weekend as Status Quo rocked the East Yorkshire village with thousands of spectators travelling from as far as Australia to see the band.
Almost 5,000 spectators over the course of the two nights watched the rock band perform a number of their big hits including Rockin’ All Over the World and Whatever You Want.
Alan Wilson, Bluebell owner and event organiser said: “Status Quo’s production manager, Glen Smith, said to me ‘you have put on a fantastic event here and we would come back for sure.’
“The crowds must have been pinching themselves to have one of the biggest rock bands on the planet playing in front of them at little Burton Agnes. Quo gave a fine 90 minute rendition of non-stop spectacular music.”
Spectators were able to enjoy the music and get a little closer to the band with the 10x4 metre TV screen next to the stage in a festival style set up.
Alan said: “Spectators were filled with excitement in the field of dreams, where fans can be only be a few yards away from their heroes.
“We have brought the biggest and the best to East Yorkshire and we hope to continue this in the future.”
