A TEAM of Bempton Primary School pupils have been busy rasing funds for a village hall.

Pictured are the Red Hot Helpers who are raising funds for Bempton and Buckton Village Hall as part of this year’s Humberside Police Lifestyle Challenge.

As previously reported the community have been working for more than 30 years to secure the funding to build and equip a new hall in between the villages of Bempton and Buckton.

Just weeks ago news the Bempton and Buckton Community Village Hall Committee received news that they had made it through to the second stage of its National Lottery grant application, which if successful could see them secure £371,000. The Red Hot Helpers have played their part in helping the committee reach their target.

The team managed to raise £45 at a garage sale, on Scarsea Way, in Bempton before they had to call it off due to rain.

But they are determined to continue with their fund-raising and are planning to hold another sale, weather permitting, at a later date.

The Red Hot Helpers are Ellie Towse, Molly Traves, Bryony Hart, and Melissa Shipley.
