A BRIDLINGTON Shopping Centre is encouraging local people to capture the best that the town has to offer for a new photography competition.
Visitors are being asked to collect a flag from the shopping centre and then pose with it in a location they think best sums up ‘The Heart of Bridlington’.
Entries will be shown on the Promenades website and Facebook, and centre manager Maria Kamper will choose a winning shot that she believes best sums up the centre’s current promotion, The Heart of Bridlington.
The winner will receive a family trip to Flamingo Land.
Maria said: “We have been successfully promoting our strapline ‘The Heart of Bridlington’ in campaigns for some time now. There are also loads of other great places to see, visit and enjoy in the area and we thought it would be fun to see our shoppers’ personal interpretation of what is so wonderful about our town.”
Shoppers can show anything as a back drop to their photograph - scenic landscape, the town, something in their own home, whatever means the most to them and shows Bridlington at its best.
Maria added: “With many thousands of visitors to Bridlington each year, the town has been the backdrop to millions of photographs and we are really excited to see our shoppers waving our flags in lots of different fun and exciting locations! I’ll be looking for a photograph that really represents our town best with lots of smiling faces.”
