Budding photographers have been given the opportunity to have their work displayed in one of Bridlington’s busiest destinations.

Promenades Shopping Centre, which experiences footfall levels of just over four million every year, is giving the region’s photographers to submit their best pictures of the local area as it looks to introduce a new vibrancy to the centre.

The winning photographs will be featured on banners throughout the centre, with the photographer’s name featured on the banner.

The shopping centre has appealed for all photographers, from amateurs to professionals, to submit their best work featuring some of the region’s beauty spots.

Maria Kamper, centre manager of Promenades Shopping Centre, said: “As a retail destination with the community at its heart, we want to not only showcase some of the region’s best beauty spots, but also to give local photographers a chance to have their work seen by millions of people.

“This year’s Tour de Yorkshire has not only seen visitors from across the UK, but from across the world as well and we want to show off what East Yorkshire has to offer in any way we can.”

Photographers have until Monday 30 November 30 to submit their picture. The pictures will then be put to the public to vote. Any photographer willing to submit a photo must send their picture to with their name and contact number.
