The search to find Bridlington soldiers who are not honoured on the town’s war memorial has uncovered a further nine names.

That means the campaign has tracked down 60 victims from World War One who are not included, as well as Ronald Kitchen who died in Northern Ireland in the 1970s.

Cllr Liam Dealtry, who led the appeal, said: “I am totally overwhelmed, I expected we might find a maximum of six.”

Anyone who has information about any other omissions, is asked to contact Cllr Dealtry through the town council office in Quay Road before the end of this month.
