Police seek witnesses after Bempton road rage attack

A MOTORIST threw a bottle of cola at another driver’s face during a heated traffic dispute in Bempton.

Now police are looking for witnesses following the incident which took place on High Street in the village, on Wednesday August 8.

At around 3.40pm two motorists began to argue over who had right of way to pass through a narrow part of High Street.

One of the motorists got out of his dark coloured vehicle and approached the driver of the other, who remained in his car, where a further disagreement took place.

The dispute came to an end when the driver of the dark vehicle threw a half full plastic bottle of cola into the face of the other motorist through the driver’s window.

The victim did not sustain any visible injury but the impact caused pain to his face.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident and has any information is asked to contact Humberside Police on the non emergency number 101 quoting crime number 1923081. Police are particularly looking for a description of the offender or identification of the vehicle he was driving.
