The investigation into the disappearance of a Bridlington man has been called off after failing to locate him in more than seven months.
Damion Vernon, 32, was last seen in the Belle Vue area of Wakefield on Monday 8 December after telling his family he was going to pick up a car.
The father of two, of Headlands Close, Bridlington was reported missing to Humberside Police on Tuesday 9 December 2014.
Police have now confirmed that officers investigating the disappearance of Damion Vernon have completed all lines of enquiry in relation to him going missing and his family have been informed by the senior investigating officer.
A police spokesperson said: “There is no suggestion that criminal activity led to Damion going missing.
“Police are keeping an open mind about his disappearance and the case will be kept open as a long term missing person enquiry.
“He is described as white, 6ft tall with a slim build and short wavy light brown hair.”
