Police appeal after threatening behaviour on Beeford road

Police are appealing for witnesses to a vehicle being driven dangerously on the A165 Beeford towards Bridlington.

The incident is reported to have happened on Saturday 23 November between 5.45pm and 6.15pm when another driver became aware of a white Nissan Navara Tekna pick up vehicle driving very close to the rear of his vehicle.

The Nissan Navara then overtook the vehicle in front and is reported to have stopped abruptly in front of it causing it to also stop sharply.

The driver of the Nissan is reported to have brandished a hammer out of the window towards the other driver whilst shouting at him.

Three men were then said to get out of the Nissan Navara, each carrying a tool of some kind and approached the driver of the other vehicle.

The driver attempted to reverse but was initially prevented from doing so by other traffic.

Soon after, he managed to drive away as the three men returned to the Nissan Navara.

No one was injured as a result of the incident however due the threatening behaviour being alleged, police are appealing for information from anyone who witnessed the incident.

They are asked to contact Police on the non emergency number 101 quoting log number 527 of 23 November 2013 for the attention of PC 1440 Bates.
