Police appeal after motorcycle crashes in Bridlington

POLICE are looking for witnesses to a serious road traffic collision that happened at the junction of Richmond Street and Fairfield Road in Bridlington on Saturday June 30 at 10pm.

A 31-year-old Bridlington man was travelling on Richmond Street towards West Street on a blue Yamaha motorcycle, when it appears the rider lost control of the bike and collided with a blue Volkswagon Sharan that was parked and unattended at the roadside.

The rider was thrown from the motorcycle and he was taken by ambulance to Hull Royal Infirmary where he was treated for head and chest injuries which are described as non life threatening.

Anyone who saw the collision or the motorcycle immediately prior to the incident is asked to contact police on telephone 101 referring to log 771 of June 30.
