Police appeal after GPS surveying equipment stolen in Bridlington

POLICE are appealing for information from the public after some GPS surveying equipment was stolen in Bridlington.

At around 12.15pm on Wednesday October 24, a man entered the grounds of the old Toyota garage on Springfield Avenue in Bridlington and stole the GPS surveying equipment. He then left in the direction of Tesco on Hilderthorpe Road.

The equipment is described as Leica GPS surveying equipment which was on a large yellow tripod.

A red coloured plastic carry case was also stolen. All items will have “Speedy Hire” written on them. The equipment has no other use than for surveying at building sites and a licence is required to switch it on and operate it.

The offender is described as white male who was wearing a black jacket and a hat.
