Police appeal after alleged early hours Bridlington assault

Police are appealing for information in connection with a robbery which took place on Prince Street, Bridlington between 2am and 2.30am on Sunday July 7.

A 19-year-old man was walking through the town centre, with a friend, when he was approached by a man who he knew.

A verbal altercation took place between the two men and following this the 19-year-old was assaulted.

As he walked away the offender asked him to empty his pockets, and the man handed over a small amount change before walking away.

The victim did not sustain any visible injuries and police are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to call Humberside Police on the non emergency number 101 reference crime number 1984800.
