The team at Sewerby Hall and Gardens zoo have revealed more new arrivals for visitors to see at the attraction.

Lisa Marie, the newly acquired nine-month old llama from Cannon Hall Farm in Barnsley, whose arrival was recently featured on ‘This Week on the Farm’ on Channel Five, has now been joined by two more llamas. Named after Elvis Presley’s parents, Gladys is 10 years old, and Vernon is seven months old.

Head zookeeper John Pickering said: “Our visitors will be able to see Lisa Marie, who is already a TV star, and whose arrival here has already generated a lot of interest from fans of ‘This Week on the Farm’. And now we have two more llamas for people to see!

“We are hoping to restart a breeding programme for the llamas here, which was something we used to do, and it will be very exciting to start it up again.”
