Although the Water Park opened on 29th March in line with Government restrictions, the launch weekend officially kicked off on Thursday June 24 with an opening event hosted by

The Yorkshire Vet and friend of the Water Park, Julian Norton. Julian marked the occasion following significant investment into the facility in 2021 to transform the current water sports offering and facilities.

The Water Park offers families and friends the opportunity to get together and enjoy the space and freedom of the countryside, while still enjoying a range of adrenaline-filled activities.

Open water swimming has again been hugely popular, as has stand up paddle boarding, where at the Water Park customers can either bring their own boards or hire on site with qualified instructors available for all abilities.

James Whitehead, operations manager at North Yorkshire Water Park, commented: “We fully recognise all the challenges which everyone has faced during the last 15 months or so of the pandemic.

“With the Water Park having undergone a huge enhancement of both the facilities and the amazing activities on offer, we are very much looking forward to welcoming people from across the North and beyond to our official opening weekend.
