Mallard Court’s Purple Day raises £120 for the National Epilepsy Society

Residents and staff at Mallard Court in Bridlington had an enjoyable day celebrating National Wear a Hat Day while incorporating Purple Day to help raise awareness for the National Epilepsy Society.

They held a Raffle Draw fundraiser with lots of fabulous prizes, purple themed treats to eat, plus their very own Mascot Barchie Bear, as they affectionately call him, was on hand to help.

Residents and staff decorated the home with purple bunting, balloons and ribbons and dressed up with brightly coloured hats as they raised £120 for the National Epilepsy Society.

Stephen Moss, a lifestyle co-ordinator at Mallard Court Care Home, said: “It has been a huge amount of fun and everyone at the home supported this important cause.

“We were all very glad to be able to do our bit to raise further awareness and money for the charity.”
