Bridlington veterans have hosted a stall at Tesco managing to raise more than £500 for two causes.

The Military Assistance and Social Hub (MASH), which launches on Tuesday, July 20 at the Bridlington Community Hub, and the Snowy Snowden Patio Fund will share the £520 accrued by the stall.

Snowy is a Falklands Veteran submariner, whose wife has long Covid. The patio will allow her to spend quality time with her family outside.

Veteran Martin Barmby said: “The monies raised at the stall will benefit local veterans. The generosity shown by people in Bridlington was fantastic.

“The person who won the hamper worth £100 kindly donated another £100. I was absolutely gobsmacked at this very kind gesture. Thank you everyone.”
